Lower Providence Youth serves students who are in grades six through twelve. We strive to provide a safe, supportive atmosphere where young people will feel comfortable to be themselves and seek Jesus together. Sunday School
Sunday school for junior and senior high takes place during 9:45 am worship service. Follow the signs from the Atrium to the Youth Room where a volunteer will be there to greet you and check your youth in. At 11:00 am we provide extended activities for youth whose parents are attending adult Sunday school.
Youth Group
Youth group for junior and senior high takes place from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the church every Sunday night from September through June. We begin with pizza, fellowship and games. Then the junior and senior high students split into small groups for a time of Bible study. Once a month youth group is off site. They’ll go see a movie together, play mini golf or laser tag or head to a trampoline park.
Mission Trips and Retreats
Youth trips and retreats are an important part of our youth ministry program. These trips give our students an opportunity to get away from the stress of life and reconnect with Jesus. In the summer the senior high go on a mission trip and the junior high attend The Great Escape Conference. During the school year senior and junior high attend a weekend retreat.
Family Nights
Christian community is an important part of how we seek Jesus together. To help with this, we provide family nights for families with kids and youth on the first weekend of every month. These nights are typically at someone’s house and include a simple dinner and time together. LCDR Richard W. Minnich, Jr. Scholarship
Presented to a High School graduate and a member of the Lower Providence Presbyterian Church intending to further his or her education, who has demonstrated significant character growth especially by demonstrating an awareness of the needs of others and responsiveness to them. This person should also demonstrate self-reliance and belief in and love for God, family and country. Please use this application form to apply.
