Mary Ann Rutkowski

Choir and Worship Director
Mary Ann has served in volunteer, part-time, and full-time music ministry roles in both PC(USA) and United Methodist congregations for nearly 20 years, and has experience working with children, youth, and adults in vocal and handbell choirs, as well as musical productions and worship planning. She joined the staff at LPPC in 2022, and leads the Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, and all other aspects of LPPC’s music ministry. She also coordinates the A/V Team and live-stream, prepares Sunday worship slides, and serves on the Growing Team. She believes that the arts are a unique and powerful way for every person to creatively and authentically worship and express their faith. Music has the power to draw both active participants and those experiencing the art form from the pews closer to God. She is also passionate about allowing all the opportunity to explore and develop their musical and artistic gifts in ministry together. She has training in Musikgarten and is a certified director of children and youth choirs through the Choristers Guild Institute.

Outside of her work at LPPC, Mary Ann enjoys participating in local community theatre, both on stage and as a director. She loves a good cup of coffee, Broadway musicals, trying new restaurants, time with friends, and being a cat mom to Clara Noel and Henry James.
