Music is an integral part of glorifying God in worship. LPPC is blessed to have a very active, gifted and inspirational music ministry! All of our choirs eagerly welcome new members. Open to singers from 7th grade through adult. Ability to read music is helpful but not required, and new members are welcome at any time throughout the year. This choir sings at the 9:45AM service and offers anthems and introits in a wide range of styles. The Chancel Choir rehearses on Thursdays at 7:15PM.
The Handbell Choir is open to people from 9th grade through adult. They ring about once per month in the 9:45AM worship service, as well as for holiday services. The Handbell Choir rehearses on Thursdays from 6:00PM to 7:00PM in the Music Room. Basic music-reading skills are extremely helpful for participation in this group, and ringing skills will be taught.
This “pick up” group helps lead our more contemporary songs in worship. Adults and youth 7th grade and older would like to lead vocally, play guitar, bass, percussion, piano, or other instruments are welcome to participate. Rehearsals take place as needed, typically following Sunday morning worship.
